By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Services.

Important Service Limitations

User Accounts

Eligibility

  • Have a valid UK driving licence (for drivers)

  • Have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

User Responsibilities

General Conduct

All users must:

Driver Responsibilities

Vehicle Requirements

  • Valid MOT certificate
  • Current road tax
  • Appropriate insurance coverage
  • Roadworthy condition
  • Clean and comfortable interior

Driver Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience
  • No serious driving convictions
  • Safe and courteous driving
  • Compliance with driving laws

Passenger Responsibilities

  • Be ready at agreed pickup times and locations
  • Treat vehicles with respect
  • Follow driver's reasonable requests
  • Pay agreed amounts promptly
  • Provide accurate pickup and destination information

Prohibited Activities

Illegal Activities

No illegal substances, weapons, or prohibited items in vehicles.

Harassment

No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour towards other users.

Commercial Use

No commercial taxi services or unauthorised business activities.

Platform Abuse

No automated tools, fake accounts, or system manipulation.

Bookings and Payments

Booking Process

When you make or accept a booking through Storm Core:

  1. You enter into a direct contractual relationship with the other user
  2. Storm Core facilitates the connection and payment processing
  3. All parties are bound by the agreed terms of the journey
  4. Cancellation policies apply as specified in the booking

Payment Terms

Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed securely through our platform
  • Storm Core charges a service fee for each completed journey
  • Drivers receive payment after journey completion
  • Refunds are processed according to our cancellation policy

Service Fees

  • Passengers: Service fee added to journey cost
  • Drivers: Commission deducted from earnings
  • Fees are clearly displayed before booking confirmation
  • Fee structure may change with 30 days' notice

  • No discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics
  • No alcohol or drug use during journeys
  • Maintain appropriate personal boundaries
  • Report any safety concerns or violations immediately

Liability and Insurance

Storm Core's Liability

Storm Core's liability is limited as we operate as a technology platform connecting users. We are not liable for:

  • Actions or omissions of drivers or passengers
  • Condition or safety of vehicles
  • Accidents or incidents during journeys
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Failure of users to comply with these Terms

Insurance Requirements

Driver Insurance

Drivers must maintain valid motor insurance that covers car sharing activities. This typically requires "business use" or specific car sharing coverage.

Platform Coverage

Storm Core maintains liability insurance to cover our platform operations, but this does not replace the need for individual user insurance.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Storm Core's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Account Termination

Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Using the account deletion feature in the app
  • Contacting customer support
  • Sending a written request to [email protected]

Termination by Storm Core

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Pose a safety risk to other users
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Abuse the platform or other users

Effects of Termination

Immediate Effects

  • Loss of access to platform services
  • Cancellation of pending bookings
  • Suspension of payment processing

Dispute Resolution

User Disputes

Disputes between users (drivers and passengers) should first be resolved directly. If resolution is not possible:

  2. We may investigate and make determinations about refunds or penalties
  3. Serious disputes may result in account suspension
  4. Legal disputes remain between the involved parties

Disputes with Storm Core

For disputes with Storm Core regarding our services:

  1. Contact our customer support team first
  2. We will investigate and respond within 14 business days
  3. If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to mediation
  4. Legal proceedings must be conducted in England and Wales

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
